I would like you to introduce you to some dear friends. Readers, meet my books. Books, meet my readers.

I just finished a book today. In reality, I suppose you could say it is just another book. But to me, it was the end of a wonderful tale, that took me through marvelous adventures, and I was quite loath to see it end. Its one of those stories, where you really could read a series of 50 books and not get tired of it. Unfortunately, there are not that many books...Or rather, maybe fortunately. Depends on who you ask.

This wonderful book series is called "The Rangers Apprentice". If you have not read it, I highly suggest reading it. Its not a girly book at all, and is really one for any age. I have read the whole series 4 times (Excepting the last, because it just came out) and never tire of it. I have been hard pressed to hold in laughter while reading at night, and sometimes it has brought me to tears. At the end, I felt I knew all of the characters as dear friends.   That is one of the only problems with reading. When the end of the book comes, you wish you had not read it so fast. You can only read a book for the first time once.

I know that seems fairly obvious, and you may be thinking "Well duh" and if you are, let me explain. For me, there is a certain wonder of picking up a new book and exploring a new world for the first time. You hear new names, and read through adventures and romances, and tragedy.
Please understand that I am soooo not saying that you should only read a book once, in fact, most of the books I own I have read several times. There is a comfort in picking up a book you know well, rather like meeting an old friend that you have not seen in a while. I have a copy of "A Little Princess" that is quite worn down with use, and has several passages underlined, and I have some of them memorized. "Inkheart" is also very used.

Anyone who is an avid book reader, will understand what I mean. After a time, the characters become a bit more than made up words on a page. For instance, Sara Crewe, and Lottie, and Ermengarde have become people I know well, and I share her opinion of Miss Minchin and feel Sara's pain at being treated so horridly. (A Little Princess)

I have several friends who's names I will not mention, but they have told me that they also, have had a crush on certain characters in books.
If you think I am a tad crazed, well, you might be correct.
All I can say is, if you dont know what I am talking about, I implore you to pick up a book, and become acquainted with some dear friends of mine.

Wondering what books to read? Well, I mentioned several in my post today, but if you want to ask, go to a book store, and look for a person gazing lovingly at the books, or perhaps smiling as they stare at the pages with a far away look in their eyes as they take in the comforting smell of books, both new and old. Be careful and dont interrupt too rudely though, it is a hard thing to be torn from a book.

“Never did she find anything so difficult as to keep herself from losing her temper when she was suddenly disturbed while absorbed in a book. People who are fond of books know the feeling of irritation which sweeps over them at such a moment. The temptation to be unreasonable and snappish is one not easy to manage.
"It makes me feel as if something had hit me," Sara had told Ermengarde once in confidence. "And as if I want to hit back. I have to remember things quickly to keep from saying something ill-tempered.”
Frances Hodgson Burnett, A Little Princess

Short random story about my new hair cut.

So this is my new hair style. I love it. Here is the funny part about this though. I absolutely hated it for the first 15 minutes or so. I put my makeup on angrily, and then looked in the mirror and realized it was not the hairstyle that was the issue. Haha. So yeah, short story made even shorter, I love it. I think I am going to go put some purple streaks in my bangs. :-)

Have a good night everyone!
